We have learned about the Microblading Eyebrows technique, and now we will learn about another semi-permanent makeup technique used to beautify and enhance the eyebrow shape, which is Eyebrow Shadow.
What is the Eyebrow Shadow technique?
It is drawing a shadow between the existing eyebrow hairs to fill the gaps between the hairs and complete the shape in a way that suits the eye shape and facial features.
What is the difference between the Microblading and Shadow techniques in eyebrow beautification?
Both techniques work on beautifying the eyebrows by giving them a new shape, but the difference is that in the Microblading technique the gaps in the eyebrow are filled by drawing hair strokes that follow the natural direction of the eyebrow hair, while the Shadow technique is drawing a shadow between the hairs that works on filling the eyebrow gaps.
How is the technique performed?
An outer frame of the new eyebrow shape is drawn with the client’s approval of the design, then a micro-pigmentation device is used by a specialized semi-permanent makeup artist to start filling the gaps between the hairs gradually. The whole eyebrow is not at the same intensity, and this depends on the experience and skill of the artist. It should be noted that the drawing is done on the second layer of the skin, which is the dermis, and it is never done deeply.
How long does the design last on the skin and does it require a touch-up session?
Yes, it requires a touch-up session after four weeks from the first session, and the shadow color remains on the skin for a period ranging from one and a half year to two years, and this varies according to the skin type and its absorption of the pigment.
